FlightGear was launched in 1996 and has experienced over 14 years of steady and dedicated development. FlightGear has established a worldwide community of developers and has grown into a product that appeals not only to gamers and flight sim enthusiasts, but to a broad variety of professionals in the aerospace industry, education, and government agencies. Its physics-based flight models and attention to detail are so accurate that FlightGear is used as the core software in several commercial FAA certified flight simulators and unmanned aircraft systems.

The Go Fly! team is excited to offer a commercial distribution of the powerful FlightGear software. We actively support the FlightGear development community by hosting the FlightGear Wiki and Liveries Database, as well as coordinating commercial support and development services. Go Fly! wishes to promote FlightGear awareness, broaden the user base, and contribute to building further development momentum.
